The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services position created for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.

For more information, sassa community members can call toll free during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - SAnews.gov.za
